Parisienne Tomatoes

Stuffed Tomatoes

These stuffed tomatoes are done in the Parisienne style. They are so easy to make, yet so wonderfully tasty and colourful on your table.

Great for your hors d oeuvres or appetizers as they are colourful and so easy to make.

They make great starters and are very tasty!

Ingredients

• 8 tomatoes

• Salt

• 8oz (1 cup) white crabmeat, lobster, crawfish, prawns or shrimps, roughly chopped.

• 3 tablespoons thick mayonnaise (please see page for dressings)

Method

• Cut a slice off the end of the tomato where the stem was.

• Scoop out the pulp.

• Sprinkle the cavity with salt and leave upside down to drain.

• Fill the tomatoes with the chopped crabmeat or whatever you have chosen.

• Replace the lids.

• Serve cold.

Such an easy and quick recipe which will give you a really colourful display for your table.

This is a great recipe for a starter that can be prepared ahead of time giving you more time for yourself!
