French Toast or pain Perdu recipe

So easy yet the kids wiIl love them (I think the big kids will too!)

Tip 1

You can also pour maple syrup or honey over your toast, with any arrangement of fresh fruit that you love. A little sprinkling of cinnamon is also delicious too.

Wonderful for breakfast with a coffee.

Tip 2

To save time when making them, once you have coated the bread with the egg mixture you can put them on a tray and freeze them. Once frozen, place in freezer bags or a container. When you are ready to use them, take them out and either bake in the oven or fry in a buttered pan as above!
